Providing you continue hosting your website with us, you will not need to do anything about your hosting and domain registration after the first 12 months, only cover the additional cost to maintain the your website and technical support needs.
If you would like to cancel your account, please inform us prior to your 12 month period expiring and you will not be billed for the following 12 months. Simply raise a support ticket through your GoMedia client area and our team can easily assist.
Yes, .com.au (as well as .org.au & .net.au) domains are available with all our website services or for individual registrations. Only those with a registered ABN (Australian Business Number) are able to purchase a .com.au domain name in accordance with the Australian Government’s website standards. You can also purchase any other domain extension including .com, .org, .net, .info, .biz etc. without a ABN number.

In fact, you may find that GoMedia hosting offers more features in terms of hosting tools than most other standard hosting services. With Australian Domains (.com.au, .net.au, .org.au) there are a few requirements that you may need to be aware of. First of all, the policy on Australian Domains require that you register an Australian domain for a minimum of 2 years, this is unfortunately why Australian domains are not able to be included free in our Packages. In addition to that you will also need to be able to provide an Australian business or company name and business or company number upon registration. It may say like a little more effort than say just a standard .com domain, however if you are targeting Australian based consumers it is definitely worth the extra effort.
